The board meets 6 times per year and is responsible for the fiscal and legal oversight of the organization. It ensures that the Centre behaves in a fiscally and legally responsible manner and includes such matters as overseeing investments, capital budgeting, property management and compliance with various laws applying to the organization.

The E&C Director is responsible for programming in collaboration with the board. The Director is central in the building of the biennial R2R conferences, and connecting local knowledge carriers, artists and Indigenous community members to further the work of the CCRC as outlined in the mission and vision of the organization.
